Please help. I have have started out with four pics, than three and than two. I'm taking the pics with a Sony Cyber-shot. It shows 6m thru VGA which I throught it was it's lowest setting. Do I have to take them in 1m. Thanks

Follow these instructions, they have worked for other folks.

First thing you need is a site to host your picture. What I mean by that is that you will need to upload your pictures to a web site that will host(display) them for you. You should not use your hard drive to host pictures for safety sake. Use www.photobucket.com to host your pictures.

After you have uploaded your pictures to the site that will host them for you(per their directions), the next thing you will want to do is go to the picture hosting site and view the picture. While you are viewing the picture, right click on it and you'll see another window that should pop up, now click on "properties" and copy the picture URL. If you know how to "copy & paste" this will be a piece of cake.

Now that you have the picture URL and your ready to post your picture. Do the following, use the following code except take out the "*" asterisk. The "*" asterisk is used here only so you can see the code. In other words if I posted the code without the "*" asterisk you will see a picture instead of the code. Anyways use this code to post your picture..
    [*img]the picture URL goes here[*/img]

I don't know, specifically. If you posted at the Photo Bucket site? read all their fine print instructions, and their "Frequently Asked Questions". Although I've never had any personal experience with Photo Bucket, I've had problems at some other sites because I didn't Cross my Tees, and Dot my Eyes to their satisfaction. Perhaps a E-mail to the site administrator, will clear up the problem?

curlyrai, most likely you are trying to upload too large a picture (too many pixels) and the software that uploads the pic to the Gunbroker server 'times out' and that is why you are getting the error. Make sure that you are uploading jpeg images and not bitmap images (bmp). Also, try down-sizing your pics to 640 x 480 and see if it works better. Drop down to 480 x 360 until you get the hang of it. If you need a 800 x 600 pixel image, crop the picture, if possible, and eliminate unnecessary background. You don't need to go through an outside hosting website. You can upload your fresh pics directly to Gunbroker right from your hard drive. I find that to be much easier. Post any more questions or problems that you have and I will get back to you.
