Marlin 25 MB "Midget Magnum" 22 WMR

Hello!
I'm looking for some info on a new rifle I just got. I got a phone call from my mom the other day, she found a blue case containing two pieces of a "gun" while cleaning out her basement (she's lived in this house for 10 years so we suspect it was the previous homeowners rifle). It is a Marlin 25 MB "Midget Magnum", the condition is like new and it has a Simmons 4X32 scope on it. Long guns have been a hobby of mine for years and I have NEVER heard of one of these. I knew Marlin use to (maybe still do??) make a take down rifle called the "Papoose". This is VERY similar to that.

I'm not looking to sell it, just gather some history and info on this particular model.
Condition is like new, I doubt there has NOT been more than one box of shells shot through this rifle. I just finnished cleaning it and cant wait till the weekend to try it out!

Thanks in advance!
-Bryan

Only two years eh? Interesting, I would have thought these would have been more popular.

I have been scouring the internet for the last few hours trying to find info on this rifle, the only thing I found fruitful is this website! Thanks for the response and the welcome!!
