Are the later models of the Winchester 86 stamped "MADE IN THE USA" on the barrel and tang?

I don't know exactly what you mean by "later models", but if you mean the remakes of the last 20 yrs. or so, they are stamped as "Made in Japan".

Nice rifles, but not "Made in USA".

I have a couple of them, and a couple of 1892 remakes. they say licensed by Winchester on any of the ones I have
