I have an ak-47 model slr 100 that I'm seeking information about. On the left side of the milled receiver is written;
Model SLR 100
Cal 7.62x39
Arsenal Bulgaria
Intrac Knox TN

On the same side is serial #mdo5xx. The only other writing is a letter G stamped in the barrel under the lower hand guard on the right side. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum.

    Arsenal SLR is a mighty fine AK, in the Bulgarian tradition.

    Here's a link to their present page on the SLR-100, but says it's a 5.56x45 caliber gun:

    http://www.arsenal-bg.com/defense_police/5-56slr.htm

    The Bulgarians have liscensed a company, Arsenal, Inc., that builds rifles here in the U.S., Las Vegas, NV., and they could have converted the SLR-100 to 7.62x39 in recent years past, though they do not list it on their products page at the present.

    Go to this site:

    http://www.ak-47.net/

    and look on the menu on the left side and click on AK types learn about the SLR family (the origional SLR-93, the 95 and 101 models).
    Some of these fine guns were imported as the sporting rifle, and then converted back to assault mode, accepting the hi-cap AK mags, with a pistol grip synthetic stock and muzzle brake. Fine guns, all.

    Here's mine after I restocked with walnut and put a K-Var side optics mount with a red dot scope:

    thats the "G spot" the rifle was made/assembled by Gordon Tech,.. they made/assembled very good milled AK's on Bulgarian parts.

    hang onto it.
    it should be a fine rifle,.if you have a lead on another one like yours let me know please

    Thanks for your response. I was reading about Gordon tech rifles, but wasn't sure as there was no other markings on the receiver. I've had it a few years now, and bought it out of the paper so I wouldn't know where to come across another one, but I just changed out the furniture to black polymer and have the wood set that came with it on the auction site if you have any use for that. I read that the rifle was assembled from Hungarian parts but not positive. Also read that some had a hammer forged steyr barrel. Kinda curious about that too.
