What is the difference between the model 36 and 60?

36 is made out of carbon steel, 60 out of stainless steel.

And early 60's are 38spl while current 60's are 357.

OK, let me ask you this. How do you determine the age of one of these other than a safety lock an floating pin? As far as I can tell I have something close to what P0838 has.

If you provide serial number, including letter prefix, if there is one? Someone here will be able to give you, at least a ballpark DOM.
