U.S. Revolvers were made by Iver Johnson from the early 1910's up to the late 1920's. Your's appears to be a five shot, large solid frame which would make it a .38S&W cartridge chambering. Bill Goforth (the author of THE IJ Book) visits here occassionally, when he sees your posting he will give you year of manufacture based upon serial number.
Check back for further and more complete information from Bill.
Values for these older solid frame, pull pin revolvers are not high. Collector value depends on condition, from the pictures posted yours looks to be in 70-80% finish, which puts it in the good+ to low v.good range. Value will be in the $75 to $100 range, RETAIL, depending on your area of the country and demand.

    joe,
the u.s. revolver co. products were manufactured by iver johnson's arms & cycle works between 1910 and 1935. your revolver is a large frame 38 S&W caliber u.s. revolver co. double action. serial number F5555X does not show up on my factory serial number list. the last known serial number for this model is F41600 in 1933. so i would assume it was manufactured after 1933 but before 1935.

the value 32magnum has given is about all you can possible expect for one in the condition shown.
    bill
