hello to all. the question is, what company made .22's for sears and roebuck back in 1976? found one that will make a decent plinker for the kids, clip fed, and shoots shorts, long and long rifle. it is certainly not pricey or rare, but for the purpose, it should do.thanks, steve k.

Go over to gunpartscorp.com, on their home page. look down on left side for "cross reference". Click, and then scroll down until you get to sears or jc higgins. You will need the model number that sears used, and read across to the right to find the original maker and model. Bunch of companies put sears name on their guns.

thanks, i will try tose links.it is just a matter of curiosity, because i have heard that winchester made some for them, and as old as it is , it looks in very good condition.2 clips as well.stock appears to be walnut.for just going after cans and such, 75 bucks does not seem bad.
