Romanian Ammunition

I have a tin (700 rds) of Romanian Ammunition with "Century International Arms. Inc." painted on the top...along with "7.62x39 Made in Romania"

It's unopened, and my best guess is that it was purchased about 8 years ago. Anybody have any idea if these rounds have corrosive primers? Any tips for telling visually if I do open it up? Thanks.

I just bought two of these cans from a seller here on gunbroker, and they are advertised as non-corrosive. The cans arrived yesterday, and I do not remember seeing 'Century International Arms, Inc.' on the top. Was this original stenciling?

edit: FWIW, they also have 30-06 in spam cans. This is SHTF ammo, and frankly if I have to use it I will not much care if it is corrosive.

Spam can, that's the term I was looking for! As to the originality of the stenciling, all I can say is that the stenciling is what the can showed up with.

The Can is a dark dark green and the stenciling is in black, so you have to hold the can at an angle to read ther stenciling. By the way, how do you open the cans? Regular can opener work?

Just pulled the can...here is what it says, and the format:

    7.62x39mm
    MADE IN ROMANIA
    DISTRIBUTED BY CENTURY INTERNATIONAL
    ARMS INC 1.4S

Mine came with an opening tool, so I have not considered a regular can opener. The tool is basically a larger version of the GI can openers you used to be able to get in Army/Navy Surplus stores.

I sent Century and Email asking if they can be of assitance. If they ever respond, I will post it here for the general public. What's the worst case scenario if it is corrosive? Just break the gun down thoroughly and wash with soapy water?
