I have been looking at these revolvers for a long time now. I really like them. I wonder if anyone out here can offer me some advice on these? Questions are quality, fit, finish, value etc. In other words should I buy one or not? If not how about the others, Taurus, Ruger etc.

I think they are pretty neat! Early on...I saw one in 44-40 and now I wished I would have bought it. Latley...I have not seen any in 44-40.

They are nice quality guns for the price... much better than the Taurus Gauchos. However, I went for the Uberti Cattleman as it is a more "authentic" design to the original Colt SAA. As I recall, the Beretta Stampede has the modern transfer bar safety (like the Rugers), which is no big deal if you are looking for a good and safe shooter. But sometimes I like to put my Ubertis into half-cock and spin that cylinder! You won't get that on a Ruger or Beretta.

By the way, I believe Uberti is now owned by Beretta. I have been very satisfied with my Uberti guns and I picked them up for $300 a piece brand new.

I saw an early one that I thought was caseharden but the design was just "PAINTED" on[xx(][xx(][xx(] I don't know for sure if this is still the way it is done.

After carefull review and considerable research I have decided to purchase a SAA made by United States Fire-Arms (USFA). This gun is amazing quality! The Beretta, Uberti and Ruger guns don't even compare with the overall quality of this revolver. I chose the Rodeo model which is matte blue finish and 5 1/2" bbl. This gun is as close to Colt SAA as you can get without the price of the Colt. I was fortunate to find a very gently used one at the gun store I work in. I would reccomend to anyone looking for SAA revolvers to consider these! 100% American made and absolutely beautiful!!!

This gun cost me $584.00 OTD! Comes in box with all papers and included a box of ammunition! I think I did very good. The gun is near perfect condition and lists at $815.00 on website.
Check these revolvers out in person.....after you compare this line to the others you will agree this is a very well built exact copy of 2nd generation Colt SAA.

+1 on pjpjr these are nice quality pistols on par with second gen colts but IMHO never increase in value the way a colt will. but the price of a colt will be hard to swallow . I have been shooting mine in cowboy matches for 15 years and they are still 98% guns. You just have to be careful and maintain them well.
