Would like info on this sxs hammer gun. Engraved, stamped Boston. No gauge or choke markings. Ser. #'s match.

Also would like recommendations on best books on antique firearms similar to Blue Book.

    "Flayderman's Guide to Antique American Firearms" is the basic reference text for collectors.

    Although your Damascus Hammer Gun is marked with a American sounding name and marked "Boston", it might in fact have been made in Belgium. You can usually tell by the Belgian or English proof marks, or lack of proof marks, if it was indeed made in the U.S.


    There are a couple of forums on line that specialize in the older shotguns. GOOGLE, "shotgun forums" or something similar, to find them.
