AR15s for Lefties - Stag Arms vs. DPMS?

I'm looking to buy my 1st AR15 and want a Left Handed model.

I am seeking opinions on which brand is better - Stag, which specializes in Leftie guns, or DPMS, which also offers left handed AR15s? I can save more with DPMS, but bottom line, I want to hear what the experts say about servicability, reliability, and quality.

Thank you,

Scott

I would go with the Stag just because it was a ground up mirror image change, where as DPMS just modified a right hand receiver. I have never heard a bad thing about either one. But I would choose the Stag.

I would also choose the stag over the DPMS. Stag did it right as a complete package instead of a half way but serviceable job.

First let me say I am a lefty and a big fan of DPMS AR rifles. This particular situation is just about the only time I can think of that I would not get the DPMS. I think the Stag is the way to go and like has already been said it is built to be a total left hand AR and not a modified right hand gun.

I too am a lefty and other than the safety being on the wrong side I've never felt the need to buy a lefty AR. I've have 3 righty AR's + the M16's I shot in the reserves. Personally I wouldn't spend the extra $ on one.

Well the price on the Stag arms as advertised in Shotgun News was under 40 bucks different from the righty to the lefty....not bad.
