Bore Gauges

Greetings: givette here. I have M1/M1carbine/M1A.
1. Can I use the same throat erosion gauge for all three?
2. Can I use the same muzzle gauge for all three?
3. If yes, is there any difference in reading technique?

My question involves being able to use the same gauge for all three .30cal rifles, if I can. Thanks, Joe

    Muzzle yes
Throat no, due to the different length of the chambers.

You can only use the MW gauge on the M1A if you remove the flash suppressor, & this requires a special tool.

    Thanks, fellas.

Now, can I have a recommendation for a parts-house that stocks firearm-specific throat erosion gauges?

No...I'm not too lazy to do a "Google search". It's just that I'm sure there are parts houses that you would use again in a heartbeat. And those you would stay away from. I mean, after all, they're all going to advertise that they're the best. I'm on this forum mostly to learn. (Sometimes I occasionally surrender an opinion or advise, but only if it has come from personal experience, not hearsay). Thanks for taking the time with me. Joe
