I was at an auction in Wy about seven years ago. The widow was selling her hubbys toys,She said at one point in his career he was a border agent working the AZ. Mexican border. one of his toys was a rifle marked about like what is pictured, also being auctioned off was a case of 30/30 150 gr full metal jacket ammo in goverment 20 rd boxes. Not sure if this means anything but it's what I and a freind of mind saw at the auction

    Previous posts on this topic indicate that Uncle Sam issued '94's to US Border Patrol and Federal Penetentiaries. A long time ago. Can't address the 30 WCF ball ammunition, though.
