Not necessarily a "Coach Gun". In 12 ga., excuse me, .12 ga. as the ignorant media types write it, short barrels but w/o exposed hammers and with the ability to eject empty shells. Who makes one?

Rossi used to make a Coach Gun, but it has been at least ten years or so. They can still be found at most decent sized guns shows.

I'm with Pearyw on the Spartan SXS. I've seen quite a few at gunshows over the past year of so and have been trying to come up with a reason that I really need one. Fit and finish are very good and the prices I've seen asked are reasonable (up to around $450, some less.) There are some Chinese made sxs showing up, but they are a bit less well finished and generally run around $200-225. I remember a couple that were pretty rough that, if I remember correctly, were made in Turkey and were retailing for around $195. Some of these had hammers. SASS seems to have perked up the market for these short barreled SXS and there are a lot of new ones out there.

Stoeger makes a very nice one with a brushed nickle finish as well. Nice walnut stocks and the brushed nickle finish go well together. We do allot of cowboy shooting and have two of them. One in 12 and one 410, mine and my kids.
Stoeger also makes one that has a bright, high polish finish as well. Looks too much like a pimp gun to me.
