This rifle was given to me by my Grandmother after my Grandfather had passed over a two decades ago. I finally brought this rifle out from the back of the safe and would like to know some information about it; was this a custom rifle? was this a packaged rifle, scope combo under Emdeko/PO Ackley? approximate value? Any help would be appreciated.

Here are the markings found on the rifle:
Receiver - Interarms Mark X Zantava Yugoslavia
Barrel - Emdeko/PO Ackley Inc SLC Utah .30-06
Scope - Emdeko 4x40
Stock - plain wood

PO Ackley had a Gun Shop in Salt Lake City, he was a Gunsmith specializing in making "Improved" versions of factory chamberings. Might be a good idea to do a chamber cast prior to firing your rifle. Some rifles may have been just maked as being sold in the shop, or might have custom work.

I've also got an Interarms Mark X also in 30-06 Marked P.O. Ackley SLC UT. This one has a factory barrel. Throat has been polished and a Custom stock added. Rifle dates from early 1970's.

As to value it may add $ 100.00 to standard price? Interarms Mark X are selling here for $275.00 to $420.00

    Thanks Hoosier,

So the Emdeko marks on the barrel and scope are from...? I'm not familiar with Emdeko. Where would one go to get a chamber casting? In your opinion, would this be a rifle worth keeping?

    Thanks again,

Give Brownells a call and order a block of Cerrosafe and you can cast the chamber at your convienience, and it can be reused over and over for other projects. Really easy to do and nothing toxic to worry about, and it melts at a very low temperture........
