Does anyone have info on ChiCom 100rd drums for 7.62x39? The ones for auction don't look any bigger than my 75rd (7in.dia). Is this a wack job?

Giddy-Up!

Any Drums for the AK I should stay away from? How is the Romanian made versions? China?

To drum or not to drum, that is my decision now.

From what I hear the Chinese ones are the most user friendly due to the way they load. But both are reliable.

I and several of my friend never had a problem with any of the 75 round Chinese drums we buying ten years back. I've talked with folks that had issues with the 100 round drums and with the Soviet drums, but never with anyone over the older 75 round Chinese drums.

I have a Romanian 75 round drum. It has worked perfectly with my cheap Romanian SAR-1 for a couple years. These seem to be the least expensive at between $100 and $125 in the catalogues and at gun shows. The Chinese and Russians have been showing up at shows sporadically and if I remember correctly start around $175 and run as high as $225.

I like the chinese drums. You can leave them completely loaded under no spring tension.

The romanainian ones are fine. They are just a little more tedious to load.
