Does anyone have any experience with the Beretta 86 using hollow point ammunition?
Is the pistol reliable(no feeding problems) wuth HP's?

Wife's carry is a Beretta 84F, which is the double stack version non-tip barrel. Other than that they are the same gun. Her's feeds anything. It is most accurate with Remington Golden Saber, it just loves that stuff.

I've got a box of Corbon .380 PowRBall, but I have not shot them in my Beretta 86. I shot one clip of Remington UMC FMJ, which functioned perfectly, and cleaned it and put it in the safe. I got it for my wife who didn't like racking slides. She shot two of the rounds in the mag but was intimidated by the complexity of the semi-auto operation and she really had already decided she liked the little silver S&W637 with the Uncle Mike's grip. The 86 is no longer being made which made it plausible to keep it, from my point of view. It's really a beautiful little piece. It's easy to tip up the barrel and quietly put a round in, lock it back in place and cock the hammer for nine semi-auto shots. Mag ejection is superb and a fast change-out possible.
