I heard from someone that 3-in-one oil makes a great gun oil.

Does anyone here use it? If you do, what has your experience with it been?

3 in 1 is a bad gun oil, it collects dust and dirt like no other oil. I heard i was good years ago and tried it, after leaving the guns in the closet for a week or so I would go to use one and it was covered with dust, oiled on dust, this never happened with real gun oil.

+1 on brier 75 years ago it was better then most but just like the old straight 30 weight non detergent motor oil for cars .Today we have MUCH better products to chose from. in both Cars and Guns.

Forget 3-in-1. Go with Hoppe's or Rem-Oil. Both are made specifically for firearms and both work very well.

I've got lots of different gun type oils and cleaners. I was just currious on this as I had never heard it before.

I allways keep 3-in-1 around the house as well for different things and I keep some in my tackle box for my reels.
