looking to buy new 223 assault rifle

I have a AR-15 and now i want something new. i have been lookng at the FN fs2000, The Sig 556, and the Robinson Armament XCR. any thoughts on these guns? pros? cons? thanks for your time

First off before you do anything, they're is not such thing as an "assault rifle", assault is an action...not a gun type. Personaly I would go for a WASR 10 in 223

i have to agree with mr. gunz, theres no "assault rifles", but i would go with a ak style rifle in 5.56

Guns and gun owners already have an image problem. We don't need to help add to it by being quick and easy about tagging certain firearms with evil sounding names llike "assault" rifle. Just as a car owner would not advertise and try to sell his car by labeling it a "gas hog." You give something an unpleasent name and the public is going to think unpleasent thoughts about it.

Sorry too disappoint everybody but FN Herstal is making a rifle with an actual name of SCAR Light and SCAR Heavy SOF Combat Assault Rifle.

Oh so you have a class 3 license? That is the only way to get a "Assault Rifle." [:D] OK, enough, I don't know if this crossed your mind but check out a SKS. They are just as rugged as a AK-47, same ammo, and more accurate, however they don't like detachable mags as much as they like fixed. Just a suggestion.

this is not what i expected by asking, i am sorry i did not see it that way, i always called ar a 223 assault rifle and a 308 a battle rifle. but you made a point and the same point is when some one refers to a gun as a weapon not just a gun or a firearm. or some one calling a gun with a scope, a sniper rifle. same i am into paintball its a paintball marker not a paintball gun so i am very sory fo affending some for saying assault rifle. i am looking to buy a semi auto 223 that takes AR mags

As with anything in life, it all depends on how much you would like to spend. To be able to still use AR mags you have a great price jump, you can spend $2,200 and find a Fs2000 or you can spend $500 for a new KelTec SU-16. If it was my money I would be looking at a Daewoo:
