Rossi Matched Pair

Does anyone know if you can buy different barrels for the Rossi Matched Pair rifles? It looks like you should be able to but I am not sure.

    Serious issues trying to get one to fit that was not manufactured with the original frame...have seen this many times in the last few years. Also, their production quality seems to vary up and down quite a bit.

    Thanks...that being said can anyone suggest another such combo? My friend's daughter is 12 but nearly full grown in size. He wants to get a combo..probably .22/20 guage but thinks it would be nice to expand. I suggested T/C but he thought there were others.

    NEF Handi rifle I would tend to reccomend more highly than the Rossi's...and at least they are headquarterd here!

    Hi;
    I have a match 223 Remington / 20 gauge. The accuracy of the 223 is still being work out, but I am not optimistic about it as a varmit rifle. After over 100 rounds the groups are over 2 inches at 100 yards. The twist is 1:12 and therefore bullets over 55 grains will not stabilize. The barrel program as present by Rossi was you send them the rifle and they fit the barrel. According to phone conversations, the program will start in a few months. They have been telling me this for over two years (since before Taurus took over Rossi). If I did it again I would go with the NEF combo. Better luck with your. If you are adding a muzzle loader barrel, you may not need a tight seal on the action.
