I am in need of a few .22 cal. rifled, chambered barrel liners about 2 3/4 to 3" long. These were used to conver .31 black powder derringers into single shot .22 LR derringers.

i'm not sure i read your question right. do you have 31 cal derringers that you want relined to 22 rimfire? generally to reline a bore you have to drill out the existing barrel, insert the new liner and cut the new chamber after it has been relined. then you have to check the ignition system so that the firing pin hits the rim. this requires the correct pilot size to follow the bore.

Actually, I am searching to buy the already made .22 cal. barrel liners at about 2 3/4 of an inch in length and are already chambered and groved. These were sold alongside of the .31 cal. brass single shot derringer (such as Sportsmans Guide now sells. (the derringer, not the barrel liner)

Thanks, but I am not trying to reline the derringers, but to purchase pre-made .22 LR cal. barrel liners about 2 3/4 " in length so that I can bore the existing brass barrel in .31 cal. to the OD of the .22 LR barrel, there by allowing the derringer to shoot a .22 cal. LR cartridge. I have done this very sucessfully in the past, so now I must find a few more liners that are already made up. Thanks.

This forum is a great educational device. You stated your requirement adequately and correctly in the first place. You educated some of the readers by your explanation. May your tribe increase!!

Sorry I don't know of a source. You might post a "Want" on the GB want add forum (down at the bottom of this list of forums).

Hello don't take me wrong but this liner would either need the bore off center "non-concentric" to the outside diameter or need you to drill the 31 Caliber out again "non-concentric" to the existing bore if you want to go from centerfire to rim fire .

Trust me, I have installed a few and they work just fine with the regular original barrel with the chambered liner installed, as the hammer face is not only a point, but rather a streight 1/4 " piece of metal which strike the end of the liner (or the edge of the .22 cartridge if loaded). Thanks for your kind suggestion though.

In reply to the fellow that suggested that I use the want ad at the end of the Forum list, I have done so and appreciate your suggestion very much.
