Who has picked up one of these recently and can give some feedback.
Fit, finish, and firing feedback would be good.

How 'exact' are they as duplicates....can I use my extra barrels, mags, etc. from my true blooded Tok's ? That feedback would be great.

Thanks

I believe mags, barrels, barrel bushings, slide stops, firing pins, hammer assemblies, grips, trigger and springs are interchangeable between TT33s.

They are interchange-able but require fitting for reliable operation.

    Yes, I have them.

    AND

YES, I have actually shot a real TT33 from the Soviet Union.

I would strongly recommend against mixing any parts. They will require fitting and this will destroy the value of all the guns involved in the parts swap! But, your guns and your stuff. Do your thing, just please don't tell me because I don'tike crying out loud!

With Makarovs, the quality order is something like, 1) East German manufacture 2) Russian manufacture 3) Bulgarian. With the Tokarevs, it goes 1) Polish 2) Russian 3) Romanian. I woiuld also advise against mixing parts on these as a result of minor dimentionl differences.

There are three types of Polish grips. The first for early guns has ribs and 2 large letters signifying Radom the mfr. The second military has vertical ribs and the third, for commercial export has the same ribs but has a small thumb rest. None have the Russian star with CCCP or the plain Chinese star.
These grips come up occasionally on ebay and I have some for my guns.
You will have to Dremel a small groove in the left grip to be able to swing the safety as the Mil gun doesn't have a safety.
Personally, I like the Polish and Chinese safeties and have smoothed their action and fixed/replaced some on my guns that didn't work. I see no reason to remove a functioning safety on a gun that will be used.
As far as using other make parts goes; if they fit and function use them. If it takes a stroke of a small file, do it. The barrels are interchangeable and I would get a chrome one if the Romanian TT is plain so you can use the cheap corrosive ammo.
