I am looking to scope me Bushmaster AR A3 Target. I have three questions.
1. Would a Leupold VX-II 4-12x40mm be a good scope for 200yrds target plinking?
2. Is $399.99 a good price for it?
3. What would be a good mount for this rifle. I would like to be able to take it off and put it back on, And still keep a good zero.
Any thoughts or recommendations would greatly be appreciated. Thanks linthicum

You can get much more scope for the money. Look at Nikon...

Nice, Thanks Cubslover, I have never had a scope with the BDC reticle in it. I was wondering if the 200,300,400 and 500 dots are adjustable or are they fixed. After sighting in the 100 cross hairs. Like the muzzle loader scopes, where you have to use a set amount of powder and a set weight of bullet. For the other dots to be accurate.

I have a Swift scope mounted on a Colt H-Bar target. 8x20 as I remember. (haven't shoot the rifle for a while). Has Parallax adjustment and is very cear. You can pop soda cans all day long at 200yds. with Wolf ammo. I think I paid in the low $300's or maybe a bit less.
