Need help finding out the age of a Rifle I just picked up at the local pawn shop. It's a Remington Model 700 BDL, lefthanded, 270 cal and the Ser #B6826XXX, Thanks for your help

Pretty sure Remingtons use a code - should be stamped on the left side of the barrel just forward of the chamber above the wood line. Typically two letters.
