holster sizes

im getting a kimber ultra covert II. it comes with the crimson trace laser sites. it has a 3 inch barrel. im wanting to get a holster for it. i know the gov. models are the 5 inch or larger. but what is the 4 inch considered a commander style? and the 3 inch and officer or compact style? just want to know what size those terms stand for so i know what size of holster i need. thx

Hello 3 inch =compact or officers model type . . I would wait until I had the pistol and then visit gun shops and gun shows with your pistol and see what brand fits both you and the pistol the best.
