I was thinking about buying a Tikka Varmint or Super Varmint. Any opinions?

One of the best values in rifles today. Not as good of a value as they once were but this is due to the price going up significantly since Berreta started importing them. I got mine for $399.
The action is as smooth as silk and the trigger hasn't been "lawyered". They are extremely accurate out the box. If you buy one you won't be disappointed.

I have a Tikka T3 stainless laminate in .25-06. Super smooth action and accurate little rifle. Looks great too. Absolutely love it.

    hbk,

I shot a couple at our deer rifle sight-in. The one I was most impressed with was the T3 laminated stainless. A young man had just bought it and was trying to zero it. He was all over the place. It was a 270WSM and he was at the point he was just flinching. So, I offered to get the rifle on for him. That thing shot a one hole group when I got hold of it. Of all the Tikkas's I've shot most have either been in 270 or 300 WSM. And they've all been under an inch and most grouping the main part of their rounds in half an inch.

My preference is still to say the most accurate rifle off the shelf is a Savage but, Tikka's are right there in cost and accuracy.
