remington shotgun

Mark christian has told me some info on a gun i am getting. It is a remington pump action shotgun with about a 30" barrel, it loads and ejects from the bottom. It is built just like a winchester model 12 shotgun. This gun is a 12 gauge. I would like to know if this gun is a good shooting gun. I dont have it yet! do any of you have any experience with this guN?

Hey folks. Found this in storage and was wondering if someone could help me discerning what this is. I see the RA on the buttstock and I can verrrrrrrrrry faintly see a 'Remington Arms' etc... on the barrel. Doesn't say gauge but I assume it's 12.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have what I believe is a Remington Model 17 Shotgun. It's a 20 guage hamerless pump shotgun that is underloading and bottom-ejecting. It also has a 20" barrel, which leads me to believe it is the riot model. However, I'm having trouble confirming this.

I've done some Google searches and looked at the Remington link in the sticky message at the top of this page (http://www.remingtonsociety.com/rsa/questions/barrelcodes), but it is referring to a barrel code. There are no serial numbers on the barrel of this gun. On the bottom of the receiver is stamped with "BO" over "4137".

I'm confident this a Model 17, but I would like to find out for sure if it's the Riot model or not. Outside of the 20" barrel, how would I know? Were any other Model 17s produced with a 20" barrel?

I'd appreciate any information or advice on how to find further information?

I have a Remington 12ga semi-automatic shotgun i received as a gift a few years ago I'm wondering if anyone could tell me what it might be worth. It says Baikal on one side and has the numbers SPR 453 on the other and it also says USSG - ROCKLEDGE. FL. IMZ. RUSSIA The gun is in near mint condition.

ok guys do any of you know anything about this shotgun and what is sc-4
Iv never heard of a sc-4 choke is it a sporting clays choke if so whats the 4 stand for.

i have a remington 12 ga. serial# 87781. built under brownings patents oct 8 1900, dec 17 1901, sept 30 1902, june 16 1903. can you tell me when it was made & where or who it was sold to?

come on and give us some clues. Is it a semi-auto? How long is the barrel? Are there military markings? Does it look like a hump-back? And yes, if you try the Remington Society they can give the date codes that Remington used to mark the dates of manufacture. thanks, reindeer.
