Just got one at the local Gun Show. How do you adjust for RANGE. See the knob for windage, but the apature does not seem to move for different range yardage. Don't want to force anything. Thank you.

No elevation knob. Sounds like you have to grab the little "peep" aperture with your thumb/forefinger, and slide it rearward (or forward) to make your range setting. That's how it's done on the M1 carbines. Joe

you can hold the rifle under your left arm barrel to the rear and use both thumbs to slide the peep up the notched ladder if it's real stiff. It shouldn't be that stiff but might be dirty or sprung a little. Most of them are sort of loose from being moved up and down the ramp mucho times. I got one from CMP that must have used at 300 and 600 yards because those notches are about smooth.

The rear sight slides up and down the ramp. It should not be stiff at all. Just move the peep. reindeer

Gentlemen: Site was "Stuck". Some Kroil, a little persuasion from a small hammer and we are in business. Thank you all.
