Father-in-Law gave me this revolver today. Wanting to know history,worth,and anything else you might know. Not interested in selling it. #158817 all match, in pretty good condition.

Colt made a lot of double action .38's. Can you give the model name?

Hello from serial could be a Pocket Positive made 1939 Police Positive 32cal made 1920 Police positive 38 made 1924 Police positive special made 1918 and others there should be a model Name on the barrel.

For worth and I.D. we need some good photos and include patent dates
on the barrel or frame.

Value isn't important. Does it say anything on the bottom of the butt? Lanyard swivel?
