Scope mount for S&W 586

Would it be possible to mount a scope on my Model 586 S&W revolver without tapping and drilling? If so, what kind of clamp on mounts and rings would you recommend for such an application. I am considering a 1" 4 power pistol scope. Thanks...[:)][:)]

Local shop has one in stock with a 8" barrel, and the mounts are part of the barrel/rib setup on it.

Weaver 307 will work. I have this same configuration on a Ruger Red Hawk and it has worked well.
