I have a Browning HP Mark III in 9mm. I have heard about a 40 sw conversion slide and barrel kit, is there such a thing and if so where does a guy find one?
Thanks SPC T

done by Cylinder & Slide, with extended threaded Bar-sto barrel for
a "Registered" suppressor. And it's not cheap.
As far as going the other way, not to say it "Can't" be done. But the
expense would be far more than buying a HP in 40 cal.
If you compare a 40 barrel & slide, along side a 9mm barrel & slide and look at the
locking lugs and other aspects, you'll see what I mean.
The slide dimensions and locking lugs are not compatible to do what you are asking and doing it "Safely". I explored it and was told by
Cylinder and Slide and a number of Custom shops at the last S.H.O.T.
Show that they wouldn't touch it for Liability reasons.
I myself got scared off by both the price and chance of a bad OUCHIE, to both me and the pistol.
I'm sure there is someone, somewhere that has done it and hasn't HAD
a problem, but I've not heard of such an instance.
And there may be the "Remedy" that you've heard about and I just
haven't come across it, yet!
