1926, according to Blue Book serialization table (28th edition)

1927 in Dave Riffels book....Is it marked 2 3/4in on the barrel or by the serial numbers...as this is the time period when Winchester started producing the smaller gauge model 12s with a factory 2 3/4in chamber....
