...Welcome, the more "smarts" the merrier! You will find a lot of people here that know one type of gun inside and out, some that know several guns inside and out, then some that know a LOT of guns inside and out; anyways, enough combined knowledge that about any gun question can be answered correctly!

...If someone here does not have the answer to a question, they will go out of their way to take the time to direct you to a source (hot link usually) that will give you the answer, great folks here.

...Then there are those that don't know from which end of a gun the bullet exits...but want you to think they do [:D]... Irregardless, the best (gun knowledge wise) people on GB are found on this forum, a LOT of GOOD, practical [by "practical I mean the knowledge was not all learned/obtained from a book, hands on from DOING] knowledge to be gleaned here!

...I'm living breathing proof that even dumb questions will get an answer, so don't be shy in asking [8D]

A thick skin and a Teflon coating won't hurt, that said...it's not needed here as much as on the GD forum.

...As for as the politics forum goes, when you go in, go in riding in an M1 Abrams towing a one five five, accompanied by a full strength battle hardened Stryker Brigade; with close air support...and you MAY make it out alive...IF you do dare to venture inside...[;)]
