Hello, My father-in-law gave me a pistol he carried back from WWII. It is a Browning 32 cal. On the barrel it is marked ( FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL BELGIOUE ) Brownings Patent Depose It has German / Nazi eagles all over it and the numbers all match. Is this a collectors item?

Thanks !

More then likely your referring to the Model 1922, FN Browning. It is one of the most common of the souvenir pistols brought back after W W II. During the German occupation of Belgium, hundreds of thousands were manufactured for the German military forces. Because of this they have never been a high dollar collectors item, even in factory original, excellent condition.

The FN Browning model 1922 when carrying German Waffenamt markings becomes the Model 626(b). It's more collectable and worth about 10% more than the standard 1922.
This pistol is known here as the Browning Water Pistol.
