My best friends Dad passed away and he gave me a J.STEVENS ARMS Model 238 20-gauge Bolt Action Magazine Fed Shotgun that he inherited from his dads gun collection and I would like to know where I can find more info about this gun ie year made, parts schematic, what type of hunting it was used for, best ammo to use etc.
I have never owned or seen a bolt action 20-gauge shotgun like this one... any help would be appreciated Thanks

TRY GUNPARTSCORP.COM FOR THE SCHEMATIC, THESE ARE UTILITY SHOTGUNS AND YOU CAN USE ALMOST ANY 2 3/4" AMMO (AS MARKED ON THE BARREL). I'LL GUESS THIS IS SIMILAR TO THE M-58 SERIES.
