"Centurian" Remington 5MM Mag Rimfire Ammo

Anyone seen any of the "new" Remington 5MM Mag ammo made by CENTURIAN? Any idea how the ballistics compare to the original? Thanks in advance!

    No but everyone asking $75 dollars a box will be dumping it for a lot cheaper real quick if it is true.

    Actually it is being made by Centurion Ammunition...a 30 gr HP moving at 2300+ fps. Suppose to be at the shot show in Las Vegas. Looked for Centurion Ammunition on the exibitors list couldn't find it, there was a Centurion Systems. Will have to check it out. It would be great if they do.

    hslaterpryce there is a box for sale right now on gunbroker. Just type in 5mm remington and look about 1/2 the way down the page. Selling for $26. I am sure that will come down if enough of it sells but as it is that is less than 1/2 what the old stuff is selling for. Also hear maybe a new rifle or two...not sure it will beat the old Remington 591s or 592s. Might even drive their prices up.

    I was listening to the "Gun Talk" radio show this afternoon and Tom Gresham said that Aguila will be making the 5mm ammo. Maybe they will be marketing under the brand name mentioned above. It is supposed to be on the market very soon.

    It is a 30 grain bullet and it goes 2300+ fps from a Remington rifle. Let you know more after the shot show.

    Ok here is what I have found out. Aguila/Centurion is loading the 5MM Remington again. 30 gr SP bullet with a dimple...not really a HP for sure. The bullet travels out the muzzle at 2300+ fps. Most test targets with a Remington 592 at 50 meters (55 Yards) were .5 inch to .80 inch 5 shot groups. I thing the 591 is a litle more accurate than the 592 but they didn't have test data on the 591. The ammo goes on sale this Monday. The guy on gunbroker is preselling the ammo at a premium. Aguila says wholesale is $13.79, retail price is $19.99. I talked to Remington, there are no plans to reintroduce any Reminton rifle in 5MM Remington.

    Thanks 5MMgunguy. $20/box list. That's not too bad. Its a crying shame that Remington is unwilling to play in the 5MM program anymore. These are awesome little rifles and I will never let all of mine go. Thanks again for th einfo and all of your time!
