I have a chance to buy one of the standard grades in 22 Hornet, it's in about 95% condition with a cheap 4x Bushnell scope for 500.00, my question is what are these worth because I never see them for sale, any thought's on this Men?

    Hello recon5...

$500 is not a bad price for a 95% condition specimen... not a steal, but not overpriced either.

I'll have to agree with Bobski on this point...the trigger pull is not that great. The price I feel is pretty good for this combination of gun and cartridge. The Winchester trademark is always a pretty good bet and the Hornet, old as it is just never seems to lose its' popularity; at least not with me and alot of others I know!

I recently inherited one from my grandpa who passed in January. It is the "special rifle" in 22 Hornet. The trigger isn't great, but not so bad either. When I was a teenager, I slaughtered at least a hundred woodchucks with that rifle, so needless to say it's nice to have it in hand again. Five bills in the condition you describe isn't a smoking deal, but not a rip either. Get it and enjoy, they only made about 60,000 of them.
