getting the right gun for wife

what would be a good all purpose hand gun for a small petite lady,she wants to get a conceal carry license so we will have to put some rounds through it.can't be too big or bulky.thank's

Small frame, double action .357 Mag., perhaps loaded with .38 Special Plus P's., or maybe a .38 Special only. Definately take a look at the double action option though. Give her a chance to handle and shoot revolvers and auto's. She may have a strong preference.

If possible, take her to a range that rents firearms and let her pick out the gun she is most comfortable with.

Honestly, my wife is of petite build she hates to shoot our Kel Tec P3AT. She knows how to shoot it and it's a great carry gun, she'll either carry that or a Taurus PT111(9mm). That Taurus is larger, easier to control and hit with, and is much more comfortable to shoot. I'm 6' 220lbs and the Kel Tec nearly jumps out of my hands with each round.

Bersa Thunder 380 or if she likes one, a thunder 9, 40, or 45acp compact. They are really inexpensive but a very nice gun.

The recoil of the Keltec P32 is mild. The gun should be carried with a round in the chamber. There is no safety. It's as simple as a revolver, weighs nothing, is inexpensive, and best of all-she'll like it and carry it!
