Why was the 105 CTI considered a falure? Were there inherent problems or was it just not liked fir its looks?

Thanks

Does anyone know if the operating handle from a 1100 or 11-87 will fit a 105 CTI or can be made to fit. The only thing Remington could tell me was that it was discontinued and they no longer serviced them or had any parts. What a Crock!!! They may make some really good guns but their customer service sucks!!!

I have a Benneli LH M-1 12 ga., which is my all time favorite shotgun. Because I am now forced, because of medical reasons, to change my shooting to right handed. I was thinking of another M-1 but the price of an M-1 is now up to $1000 (+$1400 for a SBE). My second favorite gun is a RH 12 ga 870 Remington (it is 35 years old and shoots like it did when just out of the box, I bought it at 16).

In this month's DU magazine I read that Remington has a new Auto Loader, a 105 CTi. It sounds inteseting cause it loads and ejects from the bottom like the old Ithaca pump guns and the Browning BTS. The price is about $700 as listed by a seller on GunBroker.com. Does anyone know much about this new gun? How does it compare to the old 1100, and the Browning Gold?

I love my Benneli but if this Remington is any good sounds interesting and something to look at. If the CTi holds up like my 870 it might be a good choice. Your thoughts?
