Remval of action tube on rem 760 help

I am in the process of refinishing a rough 760 Rem that I recently acquired. I cannot loosen the action tube to remove the forearm. I have tried using a long phillips head screw driver in the takedown pin holes but the tube will not budge. Any suggestions?

APPLY SOME HEAT TO THE RECEIVER/ACTION TUBE JUNCTION. NOT TOO MUCH, BUT ENOUGHT SO THAT YOU CANN'T TOUCH IT. ALSO MAKE SURE THE PIN PUNCH (PHILLIPS SCREW DRIVER) IS ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE AS THE HOLE AND THAT YOU GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH SO BOTH HOLES ARE ENGAGED.M PUT AS MUCH PRESSURE ON THE SCREW DRIVER HANDLE AS YOU CAN (RECEIVER CLAMPED IN A VICE) AND THEN RAP THE SCREW DRIVER SHAFT WITH A SMALL BRASS HAMMER.
