This is a fleabay auction for old N frame grips. Is it on the level? Can any S & W collector, explain what would make these grips so valuable?

I have no idea how the price got where it is. I have seen some old S&W grips in the $100-$200 range, but not N frame grips. I guess a couple of folks really want them[8D]

The reason they are so high is the older diamond grips are getting harder and harder to come by, especially for "N" frame guns. Those grips are in exceptional condition for their age.

All it takes is a couple guys who have their hearts set on an item and away it goes. I saw an old Smith & Wesson "empty box" from the 20's or 30's sell on obey for $1009.00 recently.

Good looking revolver there. Mr. ATF are you still collecting the Astra name brand revolvers? I do so like your heavy , short barreled .44 mag. "Terminator" What a fine piece of quality workmanship. Mine has very good metal to metal fit, as well as nice wrap around wood grips. I think it was $200.00 out the door... Thanks , Steve
