50 cal. bmg Vulcan V50

I am considering buying a Vulcan V50 50 cal,and read on another message board that the Vulcan V50 is a is not safe and labeled a "Pipe Bomb". Does anyone know if this is true, or where I can find out any safety information on this gun. Thanks

Do a web search on Vulcan or Hesse as they were so bad they changed names. Their name has changed yet again to Blackwater I belive. I am sure you will turn up a ton of info. GOOD companys don't go changing their name all the time.

I owned a Vulcan once! What a NIGHTMARE!!!!!! IT was my first 50 cal ! The very day I bought the gun I ran down to the local gun range to try out my new toy. Loaded in the round,, and pulled the trigger,, and BOOM!! THE FIRING PIN WENT RIGHT THREW THE PRIMER and the firing pin spring did not work any more! The entire bolt had to go back to Vulcan for repair. They told me that I was only allowed to shoot special 50 cal ammo. I had to buy very exspensive ammo and could not use military ball ammo. Well that was enough for me!It went on the chopping block! What a pile of poop!

Get one of these....... a bit hard to carry around, but fun to shoot, and very reliable.

I had really good luck with the Cobb FA50; sold it 'cuz I couldn't afford to feed it!
Owned a Hesse MAK-90; sold that, too. Never gave any problems, but Better to be safe, etc.
