Had one of their Thunder .380's a few years back. It shot great, felt great, and functioned flawlessly. Sold it to a friend for his wife and bought a Makarov. The Bersa I had was just fine. Unless they've changed a lot I think your friend will be very happy with his purchase.

I have only seen good things about Bersa. Llama is usually the one you want to avoid.

I had a friend that had one. I shot it and really liked it. He shot it quite a bit and never had any problems with it that I know of. He sold it to go up in caliber.

Great little guns. I would not be surprised if someday the Bersa becomes the #1 selling .380 in the USA.

Thanks for the info I'm shooting a PA 63 380 and it has twice the recoil as the Bersa still a great little gun but with a kick.

I've got a .380 bersa and love it. It has NEVER flawed and is very accurate. It's just one of those guns that just fits right!

I own 2 of these fine semi-autos. I bought both for $100-$115.00 range at my favorite pawn broker. Both are Model 383 double actions. However one has a problem with dirt/ lint, etc. making it not shootable in double- action mode, for the first pull of the trigger. I soon found just a little lint..__carrying it in blue jeans back pocket...it would collect under the walnut wood grips at the spring release area. Crazy huh? Well just a slight cleaning and were good to go UNTIL a week or two ...same trouble all over again. But I still love them,. Very dependable and accurete When clean , Thanks , Steve
