Deutschewerke 22 LR

I recently came into possession of my late great grandfather's .22 cal "snare" rifle.
It clearly is a Deutschewerke Erfurt single action .22 LR, however it is different from most I have researched in a number of ways.
There are the usual stamps on the underside of the barrel and left side of the breach but no were does the Deutschewerke Erfurt Werke name appear; it simply says DRP Germany on the right side of the hingled breach and Mod. 1 22 LR and the company logo on the top.
The stock also has four inlaid figures; a man's head, the Deutschewerke cat logo, a bird, and a rifle in what appears to be "bakelite" and has the Company logo stamped on the metal stock plate.
I gather these little guns are of limited collector's value and I wouldn't be interested in selling it anyway but I would appreciate any information on this "dressed up" version.

If that old rifle is pre-WW-2 vintage, it may well be of considerable collector value. Don't sell until you find out!
