Does this look familiar to you? I see that it mentions CP and thought that you may know this gun. I am not really interested in bidding just thought I would bring it up.[:)]

I have a question for the master!

High Standard target pistols tend to be very sensitve to lead and lube used on 22 cal bullets. Can you tell me what is the current best choice for ammo for competition today? I used remington target 22 back thirty years ago.

Also I used to clean off the slide rails and used a lite spray of silicone to keep the pistol from gumming up! What do the experts do today with their extended options of lubes available?

    Any help would be apprecidated.

Perry, your emails bounce back - I've tried sending from three different email addys of my own, hotmail, isp, and work. ALL have bounced back.

How can I reply to your questions?

Sir; sometime recently you spoke of a lubricant you used on your firearms, I believe you said it was water soluable and wouldn't stain the wood. I forgot to write down the name and wonder if you could repeat same. Thanks in advance

Hello Remington many years ago made some very good match grade ammo along with Winchester. Mark III and Mark IV federal ammo 5 years ago was good now the pitts but but sad to say the only US nmade ammo worth[xx(][xx(] a hoot IMHO today is CCI . The key is the type of bullet lube I have been useing JADG {SK}Pistol Match Special[:p][:p] for the last 8-10 years it is slightly hotter then straight pistol match so it will work High Standard"s Hammerli 208S's and Kart's even in low low temps. It has a great almost black slick bullet lube that will not build up on barrel or slide breach face It can be bought for a very good price [:)]from www.champchoice.com ask for homer. this ammo has the same head stamp as some WOLF ammo but I have never shot any wolf and don;t know if they use the same lube also eley has addressed this problem and now make a 10X type with special auto pistol lube but this is big $$$ "PRAISE THE HARD-BALL GUN"
