This is serial #8299 .Has Lyman peep sight.Used condition but not rusty.Has leather sling.It works fine.I'd like to know D.O.M.and value range.Thanks

    The Model 57 was announced in January of 1927, with the first rifles delivered to warehouse stock in August of 1926. Your Model 57 was most likely manufactured circa 1929. Total production is listed as 18,281, and it was discontinued in 1936. Your limited description of the condition does not give me enough information to estimate the potential collector value. Posting a few pictured of it would be very benficial.
