when choosing a front sight for target shooting: narrow or thick bladeed front sight. i want to use the caspian fiber optic front sight but it comes in two widths! which one is better for tatget shooting, .04 wide or .06 wide

Hello I will jump in and give you both some facts and opinions to hopefully give you some information to buy what works for you and the type of shooting you do . In serious Bulls-Eye Target shooting allmost no one uses fiber optic sights. We use straight IRON sights. The younger shooters like the front sight to be wide so that it fills up 95% of the side to side of the rear notch with just a hint of light on each side. As we get older"ME" we like a little bit more light on both sides of the front sight. Why dont we use fiber optic suights IMHO fiber optic are great in low light and fast action shooting but NOT for bullseye you can't get as good of a lineup of sights as a square blade in a square notch.Remember you can't look at 3 things at the same time Front sight, rear sight, and target. thanks you for your opinion and the information. the gun will be a range gun for casual target shooting. i have neither the time nor the money to get into seriouse bullseye shooting

the front site cut is a novacks sight cut. can you direct me towards a good target shooting front sight that will fit a .330 X .075 deep X 65? sight cut?

the only place i have found that makes sights to these exact dimensions is caspian, and they are all fiberoptic sights

the question you asked can really only be answered by you, fiber optic sights are very popular, i know many shooters who have them, some like them big, some like red, or yellow and even green, i myself like them small, and green, the big red ones tend to cause a hallo for me, and distort the target to much, the guys with no so great vision likes the big .125 fat ones, here is where i buy mine
