I bought the .45 Compact XD and it's all that and a bag of chips! Acxcurate, never jams, all the gear that comes with it works great. If your looking for a .45 you can't go wrong with the XD. I use mine for IDPA

Just bought the same gun about 3 weeks ago and could not agree more. I use mine for CCW and replaced my Kimber Ultra Carry. Wish this would have come out years ago before buying the Kimber.

My son bought one of these (I think a 4" barrell model) last summer and we spent a few week-ends trying to find a good self defense loading, using over ripe watermelons. This gun digested any and all cartridges and these were several boxes of various brands. We settled on Hornady TAP as what we considered the best. He leaves it with me while he's on the road during the week. He might not get it back.

The entire XD series impresses me. Bought one for my (then) girly friend when they were introduced....liked it better than my Glock.
