I am trying to find out what this gun is worth.

It is a Laminated Stock, Stainless Remington 700 in 7mm Ultra Mag. I can't find one on this site or on Remington's site.

Also trying to find out what Used Kahles scopes go for. This one is a 2x7x36. I didn't see one listed on the Bass Pro or Cabelas site. I believe it is fairly new, but most guns I am finding stainless come with a Black Stock.

I am thinking of buying this off of my neighbor, but he is asking $1,400 is this a good deal?????

I love the looks of it, but I hear is kicks like a mule.

Not completely sure what EXACT model 700 you have there, and also not sure about the stock being original, but either way, it looks to be in excellent condition.

The Rem. 700 7mm Ultra Mag will run between $800-1000 NIB, more for the factory "custom", depending on the model.

That Kahles scope runs about $800 NIB.

If it's in excellent condition, factory stock or not, it should be worth what he's asking, but probably on the upper end of the value scale or what I'd pay.

looks to be a standard BDL stainless 7mm RUM with the cheap factory synthetic stock removed and a nice aftermarket laminate stock added, never seen that color or style laminate stock from a factory remington gun. I have a .264 win mag identical as far as the gun goes, can't tell if that's a HB or not on it from the pics i'm assuming it's standard contour, the above post was correct in the price of the rifle with factory synthetic stock, with that after market stock i'd say it would be in the 2-300 price range for the stock alone. 1400 seems like a fair price for the set up you have there, me personally I wouldnt pay it, but then again it's not a .264 either...[:D]

Thanks, for the help. I checked the recoil pad and it has Remington on it. Not sure how to tell what brand of stock it is. Neighbor told me it came that way. I think I will pass. I am sure Kahles are nice, but I would be happy with a Leupold.

Stock is factory. Remington does special runs for Grice, big gunshop in Pennsylvania, I stop in whenever I go back home. I have a couple special run laminated stocked rifles from them:

it wasn't a special run,..I know a guy who has the exact same rifle. That was a BDL LSS model from a few years back, which has been discontinued in that chambering.

Nice scope,....but the guy needs a swift kick in the * for using those sorry excusses for rings with a rifle and scope that nice.
