I have a .410 shotgun from Harington and Richardson. This gun was my uncles and I am looking for information on it the only markings are on top the barrell (410-12m/m) and the serial number behind the triger gaurd and also the H&R stamp. I am looking for general information on this gun as well as a location to get parts. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Bill Goforth will probably will be along shortly to give you the straight skinny. As I recall he discussed this matter in the past with another poster. Believe the metric marking denotes pre W W II fabrication?

From your post it's not clear what specific model you have? Not likely pre W W II parts would be available from the present owners. Try Gun Parts Corp., you probably will have better luck.

H&R use the 410-12mm markings on their small frame model 1915 between 1916 and 1936. when the 410 bore was offered in the standard size frame model 1908 in 1924 it was also marked 410-12mm until 1936. any H&R with it 410-12mm marking is chambered for the 2 1/2inch shell. in 1937 when H&R lengthen the chambers of the 410 to 3 inch the 12mm markings was dropped. the 12mm shot shell was popular in europe and loaded by most of the american ammo makers of the day.
